This year HTA celebrated its 30 year anniversary at our annual picnic. The picnic was held at the Gateway Grizzlies ball park and included a pregame picnic and ball game.  We had a record turnout of well over 150, including heart transplants, LVAD patients, BJH coordinators, and their families and friends. The event was funded by the Casey Ann Hohman Memorial Association with funds raised at their annual October trivia night.

On a perfect summer evening the picnic was a fantastic way to celebrate 30 years of HTA and its expanding membership, its growing Ambassador program and to remember those who began HTA’s vision of supporting fellow heart patients.

Over the next several months we will post information on HTA’s social media regarding this year’s two fundraisers:  Anthony’s Journey, a 340-mile nonstop kayak race to raise funds for HTA and The Casey’s Place Apartments, and the 12th annual  Casey Ann Hohman Memorial Trivia Night Oct 7th which also provides essential funding for HTA and the transplant community. Please do what you can to share, comment and participate.

Your continued support of HTA, The Ambassadors Program, monthly support groups, social outings and patient needs is much appreciated.

The HTA Summer Picnic will be held on June 24th at GCS Ballpark in Sauget, IL.  This will be at the Gateway Grizzlies Baseball Park.  This is a free, family event.  Food, game, and after game concert too.  All members and family are welcome but reservations are required because of ticket needs.  Reach out to Jane Sullivan before June 8th
